Miriam Dunne is an impressive, delicate new voice. Her characters lives are skewered by pain and disillusionment, half-told truths and secrets: but their humour, bravery and - not least - their fantastic desires never desert them. They emerge as complex, rounded and surprising as any sizable dose of real life. Miriam Dunne lives on Sherkin Island in County Cork with her husband and three children. This is her first novel. |
