 Elba
Island is the third biggest island in Italy and is 10 km
from the peninsula. Thanks to the warm climate, it’s one of
the most favourite holiday places for Italian and European tourists.
The landscape includes sandy beaches, cliffs, woods and prickly
pear fields. Villages are very small and in them you can find historical
testimony about the pirates. The island structures for tourist are
very good and they respect the natural landscape.
To arrive
on the Island you can catch a ferry boat and it takes about
1 hour; if you haven’t got time you can catch a faster boat
that takes about 30 minutes. There is also an airport that is connected
with many European cities.
