DAWN

Distributed Atlantic Wireless Network 

DAWN is pleased to announce the launch of its broadband network.  Currently for the West Cork

islands of Cape Clear, Heir and Sherkin and our neighbours on the mainland, including Baltimore.  The project started over three years ago, and finally we have a very stable network to bring our users a service on par with other commercial broadband products available on the mainland.

We have thought long and hard about what tariff would be equitable for all and hope you will agree that the prices are competitive.

For all connection types, a fair usage policy is implemented.  Whilst most commercial operators put an absolute limit on the amount of data that you can transfer, we have not put on any limit and this will remain while users adopt a reasonable and responsible attitude.  However, we reserve the right to limit access or indeed terminate access to any user who abuses their connection. 

Users must sign a License Agreement and pay both a membership fee and a monthly license fee.

Subscribers/members who took part in the pilot project are welcome to continue to use the equipment they received, without installation or equipment charge, but replacement or repair will not be free.

New subscribers/members must pay for equipment and installation.

DAWN is a Not for Profit Company, limited by guarantee.   We aim to keep costs to a minimum to provide an affordable service to those who need it in our area.
