Marina Baker is a successful journalist who has written for the Independent and the Evening Standard; she also writes for Junior magazine. Her mother is a white witch.

Marina comes originally from Norfolk, England, and spent a number of years living on Cape Clear and Sherkin islands, Ireland. She now lives near Brighton, on the south coast of England.
